Warming Up with Teagan Wouters

Teagan Wouters is currently one of the most in-demand performers in Australian theatre. After playing Francine in Jersey Boys, she's now rehearsing Legally Blonde and has just been announced to play Wednesday in the upcoming Australian production of The Addams Family. Hot or what?!

Teagan is well-known as a diverse singer - not only is she a fabulous belter she has a gorgeous soprano range too. We love that Teagan uses excercises out of each of the 5 steps of Warm Me Up to warm up thoroughly and for different styles of singing.

It's a great idea to start gently with exercises such as Rolled Rs before getting to the extremes of range which is where Curly Scales will take you!

For warming up belt, you can try any of the descending patterns (such as Mooii) and use a more belt-friendly syllable such as "yeah yeah yeah" or "hey hey hey".

Teagan tells us this is a great first thing in the morning playlist but also works perfectly to get ready for performance.
